ADC Names Reentry Administrator
Senior Chaplain Norma Gillom has agreed to transfer in her position to central office and coordinate and move our Reentry efforts forward! She will assume the new role of Reentry Administrator and be housed out of Pine Bluff in the office adjacent to Chaplain Mayfield, Administrator for Religious Services. Deputy Warden John Wheeler accepted the challenge to operate our first Reentry Unit, the Ester Unit.
Effective June 25th, Senior Chaplain will officially take her new role for our agency. As an agency and State, we need to focus on the ability of our inmates to become good neighbors upon release. We want them to break the cycle of returning through the prison gates to occupy expensive prison beds.
Thank you for all you do, and please help Senior Chaplain Gillom in her new role and whomever is selected to fill her role at the Ouachita River Correctional Unit!
