Dear ADC Staff:
Please join me in congratulating the following individuals on their promotions:
Captain Keith Day from the Cummins Unit will begin as a Major on Monday, January 18, 2016! He will be joining Warden Stephen Williams, Deputy Warden Billy Inman, and the NCU staff. Captain Day has 24 years of experience with the Department having joined ADC after serving in the military. Major Michael Lowe will be transferring from the NCU to the Ester Unit at the Pine Bluff Complex effective Monday, January 18.
Thomas Hurst and Major Anthony Jackson have accepted Deputy Warden positions with the Department!! Thomas Hurst will be joining Warden Faust, Deputy Warden Musselwhite, Majors Percy Arnold and Darren Threlkeld, and the ORCU staff! Hurst left the Department with 30 years of experience, and will be returning Sunday, January 17. Major Anthony Jackson has spent his career at the MSU, Benton, and Cummins. He will join the team at the Wrightsville Complex on Monday, January 18, including Warden James Gibson, and Majors James Shipman and Maxie Foote.
Deputy Warden Tami Aiken will be leaving the Wrightsville Complex and joining Warden Daryl Golden, Majors Maurice Culclager and James Hill, and the McPherson staff effective Monday, January 18.
Deputy Warden Linda Dixon will be leaving the McPherson Unit and joining Warden James Gibson, Deputy Warden Anthony Jackson, Majors James Shipman and Maxie Foote, and the Wrightsville Complex staff effective Monday, January 18.
Both of these Deputy Wardens will broaden their experience by serving in their new Units of assignment!
As many of you know, Warden James Gibson is retiring as of January 31, although he has advised that he will be back to ADC before the end of 2016. As he enjoys his time away from the Department, Warden Mark Cashion will take the Superintendent position at the Wrightsville Complex effective February 1.
Warden Jeremy Andrews will be promoted to Superintendent at the Pine Bluff Complex effective February 1! Warden Andrews will be joining Deputy Wardens Emsweller and Outlaw, Majors Lasaundra Malone, Herbert Straughn and Michael Lowe, and the PBC staff.
I am so excited to have had the service of these leaders who are willing to continue to serve the Department in these important positions. I realize we have experienced many changes in the past year, and I thank each of you for your cooperation and support as we continue to make changes within the Department. Please assist all of these professionals in their transitions as we continue to carry out our mission and provide for public safety in Arkansas!
